My Beloved Mother

This is dedicated to my wonderful mother, who left this world at the age of 76. It was more than 40 days ago this April. My mother was elegant and sophisticated, extremely fashionable, bright and beautiful with a sweet softness about her. She was very outgoing and had lots of friends. She loved the ocean and always dreamed of living in Indonesia with an ocean view. Her favorite hobbies were gardening, cooking and dancing. She was an amazing woman.

My mother was delighted to be such a grandmother! She loved taking her great-grandchildren to her home for visits and spoiled him with candies, toys, stuffed animals and clothes.

My life has never been the same without you. You made everything so special and so elaborate! I have inherited your ways of doing things like that... it makes me feel as if you are still with me.

I remember before I was going to Asia for a business trip, she said to me from her sickbed at the hospital …“John, every night make sure that you look up at the moon. No matter where you are or how far away you go, we will always be looking at that same moon… And I’ll be thinking of you”… That meant something very special to me. I will never forget you telling me that and still, every time I look up at the moon I think of you, and I wonder if you can see the moon where ever you are.

What a lovely person she was and how lucky I was to have had her in my life. I only wish I could have had her forever. She left this world far to soon. She had so much to offer. I know deep within me that I have a very special angel watching over me.
Those were wonderful memories that will stay with me for the rest of my life…
